Wylde Connections Celebrate 5th Year in Business

Congratulations to Pentlands client Wylde Connections starting its 5th year in business last month as a sustainability consultancy.

Denise said: We started the company in January 2020, just before Covid and endless lockdowns, which gave myself and my co-director Charlotte Amie T. the opportunity to hunker down to strategise and plan where we wanted to take Wylde. The past four years have been a massive learning journey for us, particularly in the last 12 months when our investor and financial NED, Tim Hughes came on board and really fuelled our growth strategy.

Anne Wilkinson Coach is our commercial NED and has been with us from the outset, guiding and supporting us. Over the past four years, we've tested and proven our own sustainability business models and have worked with some great clients who have been on a transformative journey also. We've developed a wide range of courses and programmes that we can now deliver flexibly to suit our clients and our students.

Like any other business, we've had our challenges and our growing pains, but as we head into 2024, I wouldn't want to be in any other place than where I am right now. Everything I've done in the past three to four decades has led me to this point. We've also had our successes and tribulations, and this is down to the brilliant Wylde team I have working with me, who all share my passion and vision for a better world where we believe sustainable business practice holds the key.

Some of my team members have been with me from my previous comms business, and others have joined us early in the Wylde journey and have helped to shape our solutions and services through their knowledge and expertise.

Our successes include:
•    Developing sustainable business models that work.
•    Becoming an IEMA accredited training centre in Q42023.
•    Rapidly growing and expanding our team of experts and consultants.
•    Getting great results for our clients through sustainable business transformation.
•    Having a real positive impact through our own sustainable activities and charitable endeavours.

This year, we have more amazing projects planned, not least of which is our Business of Biodiversity: Embrace Your Inner Wild programme. This will offer practical guidance and support to businesses as they implement their sustainability strategies and actions. #Biodiversity is going to be a hot topic this year for businesses and it's a subject very close to my own heart. I'm looking forward to sharing over three decades of experience as we produce this programme. Despite the global threats and challenges each and every one of us faces, I remain filled with hope that by engaging in sustainable business practices we can all make a difference. I'm always open to conversations and discussions about all things sustainability, ESG and Net Zero. Also, happy to contribute to webinars, seminars and workshops. Let's see what 2024 brings….
