Helen: “When we took over the business, we did a restructure. We wanted to bring in a new accountancy service as part of that restructure because we’d inherited some challenging accounts. It wasn’t for the faint hearted but Pentlands didn’t flinch.”

Spencer: “We didn’t know the decision-making processes in the business that had produced the numbers. It was very difficult to unpick the audit trail, even with well-kept books there were anomalies. So Pentlands had to really dig deep.”

Helen: “When we first met Pentlands, we got the sense that they were part of our team, an extension of the Totem family.
