Accountants do bread making!

Jess at Bread for Life was introduced to us by our lovely client Purple Monster who told us about their fabulous sourdough bread making day. This was in 2019, Elinor and Louise were celebrating 20 years with Pentlands Accountants in 2020, so a June team building day was booked.

Then life took a different turn, and our day out was put on hold, after very patiently waiting February 2022 was our year to celebrate.

As accountants we like numbers, measurements and accuracy and we also love learning new skills, bread making definitely ticked all the boxes. We decided on the Farm at Snitterfield as the venue, in their lovely cookery school. Jess greeted us with a warm welcome and a hot drink.

We watched Jess make the focaccia dough and then we set about making our own, lots of sticky hands and eventually the dough came together ready to prove.

Whilst this was proving we learnt about bagels and how they need to be proved twice and boiled before being baked, who knew!

Jess made our day fun, informative and we came away with freshly baked bagels and focaccia to share with our families. If you are looking for team building with a difference, then this is for you.
