The Chancellor announced last Friday the changes to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

We wanted to highlight the key date of Wednesday 10th June – this is the last date that you can include a new employee that you have previously not furloughed to enable you to be able to use the scheme to the end date of 31st October.

On the 30th June the current scheme will end and no new entries of employees will be allowed.

So in the next few days, you need to decide if it’s appropriate for you to furlough any additional employees or indeed start using the scheme.
