A Helping Hand at Christmas…

Christmas is a time of year when we love to come together and spend time with friends and family. However, it is also a time where our thoughts turn to those where life is not so easy. That’s why we are committed to our continued support of local charity Helping Hands.

Helping Hands provides support for vulnerable people, whether that be homelessness, domestic violence, mental health and addiction. Giving them opportunities to feel better about themselves, build friendships, be more active in the community and get back into work.

This Christmas we will be supporting Helping Hands by making a donation that will enable a group of Women from The Esther Project, and a group of Men from Elijah's Rest Support Group to come together and enjoy Christmas lunch.

The Esther Project has been developed to empower vulnerable women – this could be domestic violence, mental health or addictions. The support provided enables the opportunity to get together, build friendships and learn. This ranges from life skills such as cooking on a budget to fun sessions like arts and crafts.

Would you like to support Helping Hands? In addition to The Esther Project, Helping Hands give everybody (not only women) support and opportunities to feel better about themselves, be more active in the community and get back into work. They have a catering van that they will be using to feed the community as well as offering vulnerable people the chance to learn new skills and training in the catering industry. They like to give a hand up not just a handout through new skills, experience and qualifications. The volunteers for their House 2 Home project support recently re-homed low-income families with goods from fridges to furniture.

A Helping Hand in 2024…

Helping Hands are continually looking for companies to take part in their soup kitchen takeover. It was a great success when Pentlands team did it earlier this year, so we shall certainly do it again next year.

If you are looking to do something as a team and give something back to the local community, find out how you can get involved www.helpinghandscharity.org.uk

Any support for this worthy cause would be gratefully received.

Our thanks to you…

Thank you to all our clients for your support this year, we look forward to working with you all in 2024.

With best wishes from all of us at Pentlands
